By accessing or using 8Muse, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your password and recovery key, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Recovery keys may be the only way to recover an account, so store yours securely.

4. Permission to use the service

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access 8Muse for lawful, non-commercial use. 8Muse's branding, interface, code, and original materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

5. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

• use the service in violation of any law or another person's rights;
• upload, request, promote, or share content involving minors or non-consensual abuse;
• circumvent access controls, rate limits, security, or age restrictions;
• scrape, automate, reverse engineer, or overload the service without permission;
• introduce malware, impersonate others, harass users, or submit deceptive reports;
• resell, mirror, or commercially exploit the service without written approval.

6. Content, comments, and third parties

Catalog information and reader content may come from third parties. We do not endorse every work, comment, link, or claim made available through the service. If you submit content or comments, you represent that you have the right to do so and grant us the permission needed to display, moderate, and operate that content on 8Muse.

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Use them at your own discretion.

7. Copyright

Do not use 8Muse to infringe copyright. Copyright owners and authorized agents can find report and restoration-objection instructions in our Copyright Policy.

8. Service changes and availability

We may add, remove, limit, or discontinue features or content, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, legal requests, security concerns, or events outside our control may affect access.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 8Muse is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. Nothing here excludes a warranty that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 8Muse and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or access. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Local law may give you rights that override part of this section.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, comply with law, or secure the service. Provisions that logically should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Changes and general terms

We may update these terms and will post the revised date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the service.
